Adamu Sambo, Abuja: President Muhammadu Buhari has left Abuja for Accra, Ghana on a one day official visit.
President
Buhari accompanied by the former Head of State Gen. Abdulsalami
Abubakar and the Governors of Kebbi and Imo States, the President was
seen off at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport by Minister of the
FCT Mohammad Musa Bello and other senior government officials.
While
in Accra, President Buhari is expected to join other world leaders at
the Inauguration of the newly elected President of Ghana Nana
Akuffo-Addo and Muhamudu Bawumia as Vice President.
The President elect of Ghana was in Abuja on the 18th of last month to formally invite president Buhari for the ceremony.
During the visit, the President is scheduled to hold bilateral talks with some of his counterparts on issues of common interest.
President Buhari is expected back in Abuja later today.
